BOTOX Rewards Scottsdale

Botox Rewards: What’s Botox Cosmetic and how do I save?

Botox Cosmetic is a skin and wrinkle muscle relaxer that is injected. Botulinum toxin type A, more precisely OnabotulinumtoxinA, is used to temporarily paralyze muscle. This decreases the visibility of face wrinkles and provides rejuvenation of your face.

Botox treatments are non-surgical procedures. It is regarded as a safe and efficient therapy for fine skin lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It may also be applied to the skin area between both the eyes on the forehead.

Botox was first licensed by the FDA in 1989 for the treatment of blepharospasm and other eye muscle issues. It  was authorized by the FDA as a cosmetic therapy for moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in 2002. In 2013, the FDA authorized it for the treatment of wrinkles around the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet).

Botox is a straightforward, safe, and effective treatment for reducing forehead wrinkles, according to a 2016 clinical trial.

Botox was used in approximately 4.5 million treatments in 2016. It’s the most popular non surgical cosmetic surgery in the United States.  Injections by Megan in Scottsdale is one of the best BOTOX and Filler injectors in Arizona!

Preparation for Botox Cosmetic

Botox Cosmetic is a non surgical, in-office treatment performed by Megan in her Scottsdale location. It takes very little preparation. Before your procedure, you should inform Megan of any medical histories, allergies, acne or medical concerns. Megan Taplin, a licensed RN and certified Nurse Injector will be your provider.

Before the skin treatment process, you may need to remove any makeup and wash the treatment area. To lessen the chance of bruising on your skin, you should avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin.

Botox Rewards: Botox & How It Works & How you Save

Facial wrinkles may be caused by a variety of circumstances. When it comes to skin damage caused by free radicals, it’s not only about cellular alterations or a drop in collagen.

Face lines are formed over time as a consequence of muscle folds and furrows caused by repeated frowning, squinting, or to lift the eyebrows. Adults, both males and females, with moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles may benefit from Botox Cosmetic because it temporarily lowers the underlying muscular activity that generates these wrinkles in your skin.

Treating patients with BOTOX: What To Expect

Some Botox Cosmetic patients often report that the injections feel like pinching on your skin. Frowns, crow’s feet, and forehead lines may begin to soften within 24 to 48 hours of your treatment, with complete rejuvenation  improvements appearing in 30 days and lasting up to four months for moderate to severe wrinkles.

Botox Cosmetic is not a long-term solution nor plastic surgery. The moderate to severe frown-lines, forehead, and crow’s feet wrinkles will progressively reappear if you stop going for treatment.

Botox Rewards: Botox Skin Benefits

Botox treatments work by temporarily numbing facial muscles to give patients a more rested and youthful appearance. It’s also less probable that they’ll develop new wrinkles or deepen existing ones because they won’t be able to deliberately or subconsciously exercise the muscles that caused the wrinkles.

How Long Before you Start Seeing results with BOTOX?

Except for mild discomfort or swelling at the skin injection site, Botox injections have no downtime. Ideally, this will go away in a day or two at most. Generally speaking, most patients will begin to notice the benefits within three to four days after receiving injections. But you’ll get the best results in about 10 to 14 days.

BOTOX Cosmetic skin uses

Botox skin treatments are most often used for reduction of wrinkles on the face. Injections are often applied in the following facial regions:

  • Crow’s feet (creases around the eyes)
  • Frown lines, elevens, or glabellar lines (creases between the eyebrows)
  • Wrinkles around the lips
  • Horizontal wrinkles on the forehead
  • Skin on the chin with “cobblestone” texture

Botox is also used by healthcare experts to treat a range of medical disorders, the majority of which involve the neuromuscular system.

Botox has been authorized by the FDA for the following cases. Unless otherwise noted, the permission is only valid for those above the age of 18:

  • Crossed eyes, also known as strabismus, which occur in people over the age of 12.
  • Excessive underarm sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis
  • Upper limb spasticity in anybody beyond the age of two years
  • If anticholinergic drugs do not help, Botox can help lowering symptoms of an overactive bladder caused by a neurological issue
  • Preventing migraines in those who suffer from them 15 or more days a month for at least four hours
  • Movement issue termed cervical dystonia, which affects the head and produces neck discomfort, is a neurological condition
  • Blepharospasm, or spasms of the eyelids, as a result of dystonia

Are Botox injections associated with any negative side effects?

Pain at the injection site is the most common side effect of Botox injections. After the injection, apply cold compresses on your skin and the injection areas or ask Megan about over-the-counter pain relievers to help ease the discomfort.

One thing for certain, Botox has more benefits than side effects (which are very rare). Professor of pharmacy Ruben Abagyan, Ph.D., stated, “The FDA has received a substantial number of reports of various side effects. The major goal is usually to detect any potentially serious side effects that were missed during clinical trials.”

“However, we had a different notion. Why don’t we go in the opposite direction? Why can’t we find positive outcomes?”

When Should You Not Get Botox Treatment

In certain circumstances, Botox injections are not recommended, including if:

  • You’ve got a skin infection
  • You’re on certain medications
  • You have a neuromuscular disorder such as myasthenia gravis.
  • You’re expecting or breastfeeding
  • There are symptoms that you’re sick
  • Severe acne in the areas to be injected

How Is Botox Skin Treatment Done

Botox can be injected in a matter of minutes and there is no need for anesthesia. Using a thin needle, Botox is injected into targeted muscles, resulting in only a small amount of discomfort. Alcohol should be avoided for a week prior to treatment, as it can take three to seven days for full effects to take hold. However, some experts say otherwise. “You can consume alcohol,” says Tiffany Libby, MD, “but it may slightly raise your risk of bleeding.” If you want to be extra cautious, she says that anti-clotting medications like fish oil, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, and vitamin E, when taken within a week before the surgery, can increase the chance of bleeding.

Is Botox a permanent procedure?

No, this is not plastic surgery. Botox is a cosmetic treatment to your skin that is gradually absorbed by the body and subsequently removed providing rejuvenation of your face. There’s no need to be concerned about this absorption process making you “poisoned.” It’s a naturally occurring sequence with no negative consequences for the patient. The duration of the injection effects is dependent on a variety of circumstances, however patients may choose to have “touch-up” injections every several months to keep their youthful appearance. More services means more Botox Rewards!

How Long Do Botox Results Last?

Botox’s effects on the skin will remain for three to four months after treatment. Wrinkles begin to resurface and need to be re-treated when muscle function restores. Because muscles are being taught to relax, the lines and wrinkles become less severe over time.

What is a liquid face lift?

A liquid face lift is a non surgical treatment where the Nurse Injector injects both dermal fillers and Botox into your skin to reduce wrinkles and sagging.  A liquid facelift can cost up to 70% less than cosmetic / plastic surgery but the results are temporary and need to be maintained.
